PDSI Staff
Portland Design Studio, Inc is a team of experienced engineers and Industrial Designers
working together to provide product development solutions. Each member is a degreed Sr level engineer/designer with extensive experience in plastics, sheet metal, castings, PCBs, cabling, assemblies and manufacture of products. Internal Design Reviews are held at each phase of a project to take advantage of the team's significant and diverse experiences and to assure a quality, manufacturable product. PDSI provides Designs and documentation in any of the major CAD systems. Our engineers have been granted over 30 US patents.
Jake Mintz
· Design Engineer / PDSI Founder (1998)
Design development and management of Consumer, Industrial and Medical products since 1981.
Most recently as Sr Mechanical Engineer at ThrustMaster, FLIR and PolyVision.

Chris Jensen
· Design and Tooling Engineer
Chris worked as Staff Engineer and Consultant, since 1995, in the design and development of consumer, industrial and medical products for Soma Design before joining PDSI. He also served as ME Manager and Sr ME at ThrustMaster. Chris previously, served as a tooling engineer for plastic injection molding and metal forming tools. (8 yrs)

Jim Hodsdon
· Engineer
Before joining PDSI, he held Staff Engineering. Positions at IBM/Sequent Computer Systems and Intel Corp and previously worked as a Sr Engineer at Tektronix.
Education: BSME, OSU / BSEE, PSU
Robert Niemeyer
· Mechanical Engineer
Professional Mechanical Engineer with twenty-five years experience in bringing new products to the market place as a consultant since 1988 on Industrial and consumer products. Previously, he worked direct as a SR Engineer for Sentrol, Inc, ESI, Bruning and Tektronix.

Bill Wann
· Mechanical Engineer
Bill has extensive experience in the electronic industry where he has successfully lead teams from product concepts through production. Before joining PDSI, he held Staff Engineering Positions at RLX technologies, IBM/Sequent Computer Systems,
Spacelabs, and Tektronix.

Kimi Jensen
· Industrial Designer
Kimi started her Industrial Design career at OKI Data, Japan. After attending the University of Washington, for advanced study, she joined and did Industrial Design at Soma. She has been with PDSI for the past three years doing Human Factors and Industrial Design.
